The New Zealand Volunteer Service Medal awarded to No. 58 Private Robert Leslie Morrison.

 

Robert Leslie Morrison was born in Dunedin on 25th March 1880, son of Robert and Jean Arnott Morrison (née McCallum). He married Helen Mitchell in 1905 and appears to have had a family of two children. He died 6th February 1961, and is buried in Dunedin's Southern cemetery.

 

Morrison's application for the NZ Volunteer Service Medal has not been retrieved, but is available at Archives New Zealand. This medal would appear to be his sole entitlement.
