The British War Medal, Victory Medal and NZ Territorial Service Medal group awarded to 27550 Gavin Baird Millar, who served on the Western Front for two years with 2nd Battalion, Otago Infantry Regiment.
Gavin Millar joined the Southland Regiment band in 1910, whilst working as a baker in Invercargill. He served on the Western Front from January 1917 until the end of the war. After the war he returned to his service with the Southland Regiment, and qualified and received the Territorial Service Medal in 1923.
All medals are correctly impressed. The WW1 pair is named 27550 PTE. G.B. MILLAR. N.Z.E.F. and the TSM is named PTE. G.B. MILLAR. RES. SOUTHLAND. REGT.
