The 1914-15 Star, British War Medal and Victory Medal issued to 13/2215 Harold Keith Leslie, Auckland Mounted Rifles, 6th Reinforcements NZEF.
Harold Keith Hall Leslie was born 21st November 1894 at Mangawhai, New Zealand. Son of Andrew John and Mary Edith Leslie. He served with the 11th North Auckland Mounted Rifles and was working as a labourer at Kaiwaka before enlisting for service with the NZEF in June 1915. He served at Gallipoli in October 1915 before being evacuated, suffering from dysentery. He was evacuated to the UK before being declared unfit for further service, and returning to New Zealand on the Tahiti in May 1916.
